Welcome
Easy as pie? Is pie really easy? It's easy to eat, but not always easy to make. Excellence is easy to appreciate and enjoy, but getting there takes a while. Join me in my Pursuit In Excellence. It won't be quick , but it will be worth it!
For me excellence revolves around motherhood and grandmahood. It is central to my many interests which I use to help my children develop their talents and have fun.
I share my journey here, The Homemaking Cottage and Arizona Mama. Be sure to see what else is cooking!

Can you believe Christmas Eve is a week from tomorrow? I’m wishing I felt a little more prepared, how about you? I’ve had a few moments (hours…days) of feeling overwhelmed, but I think I’m back on track and in better spirits. The shift in attitude has helped me enjoy more of what’s going on this week. Here are a few of my favorites.
- We ditched another responsibility, ate dinner in the living room and watched one of our favorite Christmas movies, The Muppet Christmas Carol.
- Yesterday’s thoughtful gifts.
- We finally finished reading Science Fair and had our family book club.
- We created some Christmas thumbprint art.
- It’s party time, check out my Classroom Christmas Party plan at Arizona Mama. These ideas would work for most Christmas gatherings.
Other bloggers are having a blast too. Here are some awesome posts I found.
- I love fudge and this Rocky Road version from Chef in Training sounds delicious!
- Celebrations at Home’s Egg Nog Punch would be a great addition to a holiday gathering.
- Got Sketch continues their Twelve Days of Christmas with 2 scrapbook sketches.
- I {heart} Naptime shared some free printables to help you with your last minute gift giving. Last week, I used one for gifts for a few ladies from church from Chocolate on my Cranium.
What’s been your favorite this week?
