Just Like Jesus Book Review

I like to keep an inspirational book on hand to read on Sundays. Just Like Jesus by Max Lucado is great for Sundays with it’s inspirational humor. I’m pleased to share my book review.

God loves you just the way you are, but he refuses to leave you there. He wants you to be just like Jesus. Can you think of a better offer? Jesus felt no guilt; God wants you to feel no guilt. Jesus had no bad habits; God wants you to do away with yours. Jesus had no fears; God wants the same for you. Jesus had no anxiety about death; you needn’t either. God’s desire, his plan, his ultimate goal is to make you into the image of Christ. But how does this change occur? And why does the change seem so slow? If God wants me to be just like Jesus, why do I still seem like me? In Just Like Jesus, Max Lucado helps you answer these questions. He helps you understand God’s wonderful ways of transformation. Would you like to know more? Then read on. And remember, God loves you just the way you are, but he refuses to leave you there. He wants you to be just like Jesus. – Back Cover

I originally bought the book for the story The Ultimate Outcast, which I have now read several times. I’m glad I finally got around to reading the rest of the book. There are several inspirational stories, not to mention the overall inspiring message of the book.  The humor and upbeat voice is comforting, at the same time reminding us we can all do better.

I recommend this book for anyone who could use encouragement and a good laugh. I give it four slices!
