We’ve all been taught “Don’t judge a book by its cover”, but let’s face it we all do it. I know I feel I can tell if I might like a book it if has a good cover;, and if there’s a scary cover, I’m putting that puppy back on the shelf. I have the same weakness for people. There’s a whole lesson on righteous judgement, but our Family Home Evening lesson was on making a good first impression on others. How do you make a good first impression? Here’s what we came up with:
- Dress modestly
- Practice good grooming
- Speak kindly
It’s important to remember that you never know when others are watching you and when you are making a first impression. (I know, no pressure.)
We played Apples to Apples for our activity and enjoyed Hello Dolly Bars for our treat.
